Tautology Webp Image Viewer is a standalone image viewer designed specifically for viewing and saving Webp image files.
Webp is an image format developed by Google for creating smaller image files that can be more
rapidly downloaded and viewed. For more information visit the main Webp site and
here for how to
convert your images to the Webp format. To create animated Webp files from still images
you can use the MakeWebp tool.
Features
Internal lossy and lossless Webp codec (no external library required). Supports animated Webp files.
Integrated and configurable joystick/gamepad support (DirectX and legacy).
Opera style mouse gestures support.
Low memory, incremental animated GIF decoder. Plays animated GIFs while it is decoding.
Uses the libjpeg-turbo library for decoding JPEG images,
which uses SIMD processor instructions found in newer computers for much faster decoding than the
standard image libraries (2-4x faster).
Supports lossless JPEG transformations such as rotations, flips and crop (thanks to JPEGclub).
Note: that lossless operations are only within the 8x8 or 16x16 JPEG tiles. Images may be truncated to the nearest tile.
